How does
TravelPass work?

You can manage your TravelPass preference in your
My Verizon account’s add-ons settings.

  • Pay only on days you use.

    The TravelPass daily fee will only be deducted from your balance
    when you begin a TravelPass session. You can always add funds in
    My Verizon to make sure you’re covered on your trip and beyond.

  • Enjoy 24-hour sessions.

    When you travel outside the U.S., you’ll receive a free welcome
    message text. Your 24-hour TravelPass session won't begin until
    you make or receive a phone call, send a text or use data.

  • Get unlimited data.

    TravelPass gives you 2 GB of high-speed data each day. After that, you’ll
    have unlimited data at 3G speeds for the remainder of your TravelPass
    session. You can buy more high-speed data if you want.

Most World Devices with HD Voice are compatible with TravelPass. But Prepaid data-only devices aren't compatible with TravelPass at this time.

Note: If TravelPass is not listed in your available features, you may not be eligible for it. You may need to upgrade to a Prepaid World Device and/or switch to an eligible monthly plan.

You’re only charged on days you use your device in a TravelPass country:

  • $5/day in Mexico and Canada.
    • Note: Calling, texting and data use in Mexico and Canada are included at no extra cost when you have our 15 GB, Unlimited or Unlimited Plus prepaid mobile phone plans.
  • $10/day in other TravelPass countries.

You're only charged for 1 session if you:

  • Have a layover in a different country on your way to your final destination within the same 24-hour session.
  • Travel within the same 24-hour session to 2 countries that have the same TravelPass daily fee.
    • Note: You will be charged a new daily fee and a new TravelPass session starts if you travel to 2 countries that have different TravelPass daily fees (e.g., from a $5 country to a $10 country).

Good to know: There’s no need to remove TravelPass from your line after your trip. There are no charges when you're in the U.S.
