How does
TravelPass work?

You can manage your TravelPass preference in your
My Verizon account’s add-ons settings.

  • Pay only on days you use.

    The TravelPass daily fee will only be deducted from your balance
    when you begin a TravelPass session. You can always add funds in
    My Verizon to make sure you’re covered on your trip and beyond.

  • Enjoy 24-hour sessions.

    When you travel outside the U.S., you’ll receive a free welcome
    message text. Your 24-hour TravelPass session won't begin until
    you make or receive a phone call, send a text or use data.

  • Get unlimited data.

    TravelPass gives you 5 GB of high-speed data each day. After that, you’ll
    have unlimited data at 3G speeds for the remainder of your TravelPass
    session. You can buy more high-speed data if you want.

What is Prepaid TravelPass?

Prepaid TravelPass lets you use your prepaid plan's domestic talk, text and data* in 140+countries and destinations outside the US for a set daily fee. Calling within the country you're visiting and back to the US are both included.

After the included 5 GB/day high speed data allowance, you get unlimited data at 3G speeds for the remainder of your TravelPass session. You’ll receive a text offering additional high-speed data when you reach your high-speed data allowance.

Note: TravelPass isn't available with prepaid data only plans.

Which prepaid plans and devices are eligible to get TravelPass?

Most smartphones with HD Voice are compatible with TravelPass. But Prepaid data-only devices aren't compatible with TravelPass.

How to check if your plan and device are compatible for Prepaid TravelPass.

  • Visit your Add-ons page in My Verizon.
  • If you don't see TravelPass listed in your available add-ons, you may not be eligible for it. You may need to upgrade your prepaid device and/or switch to an eligible monthly plan in My Verizon.
