  1. What is Verizon Tech Coach?

    Verizon Tech Coach is a personalized, US-based technical support service, featuring experts in Verizon devices and consumer electronics. If you're having an issue with your phone or virtually any device that connects to it, you can contact Tech Coach for help.

    Tech Coaches can solve most issues in just one call. However, if the Tech Coach doesn't have the answer right away, they'll call you back at your convenience with a solution. In addition, the Tech Coach will make recommendations on how to optimize your device for your lifestyle.

    Tech Coach also provides digital tools within the Tech Coach app, including chat support and customized device tips and tricks to help you learn how to get the most out of your device.

  2. What is included with Tech Coach?

    With Tech Coach, you'll receive personalized service from technology experts who'll help you with your Verizon device, including how to connect it with other products and services.  

    For example, a Tech Coach can help you:

    • Transfer your contacts, photos and videos from one device to another
    • Optimize your device's performance (battery, speed, storage, etc.)
    • Discover apps to help you use your device to its fullest potential (email, browsing, games, etc.)
    • Connect with wireless networks and other wireless devices in and out of your home

  3. How often can I contact Tech Coach with issues?

    Tech Coach provides unlimited support. Call or chat with Tech Coach as often as you'd like through the Tech Coach app with a simple tap.

  4. What types of devices can Tech Coach help me with?

    Tech Coach supports your enrolled Verizon mobile device and virtually anything it connects to, like:

    1. Apps
    2. Bluetooth® devices and accessories
    3. Computers
    4. Printers
    5. Routers
    6. TVs
    7. Cloud services
    8. Wi-Fi

  5. How much does Tech Coach cost?

    If your account is enrolled in Verizon Protect Multi-DeviceTotal Mobile Protection Multi-Device or Total Mobile Protection Multi-Device for Business, Tech Coach is included for no additional charge for all eligible devices on your account.

    If your device is enrolled in Verizon Protect or Total Mobile Protection, Tech Coach is included for your single device for no additional charge.

    You can enroll in Tech Coach at anytime for $9/month* per device.

    *For New York customers, Tech Coach is $4 or $5 per month, depending on the type of device.

  6. How do I sign up for Tech Coach?

    It's easy to contact Tech Coach:

    • Call *611 from your mobile phone and say "Tech Coach." Tech Coaches are available:

  8. What devices are compatible with the Tech Coach app?

    Most Android™ and iOS smartphones and tablets are able to download and run the Tech Coach app.

    To see if your specific device is compatible with the Tech Coach app:

    1. Open the app store on your device (e.g., Google Play™ Store or Apple® App Store®).
    2. Enter "Tech Coach" in the search field and tap the Search icon.

    If the Tech Coach app appears in the search results, your device is compatible and you can download the app.

    If you don't see the app in the search results, your device isn't compatible at this time.

  9. How do I get the Tech Coach app?

  10. Can I use Tech Coach on my computer?

    The Tech Coach app isn't available for computers at this time. The best way to contact Tech Coach is through the smartphone app or by phone.

    If you're on a Tech Coach call about a computer issue, the Tech Coach can request permission and remotely connect to your computer to help diagnose and fix issues if necessary.
