Up To Speed news rundown
Our response to Western Wildfires and Haiti’s Earthquake
Starting today, we are offering unlimited calling/texting/data to customers in Northern California impacted by wildfires including the Caldor, Dixie, McFarland and Monument fires. This relief runs through Thursday August 26. Check to see if you qualify.
We are also waiving charges for calls from residential and business wireless and landline customers to Haiti. This offer runs for two weeks, ending August 31. Check out how you can help the people of Haiti by texting to donate to Save the Children, UNICEF and World Central Kitchen.
Monitoring Tropical Storms Henri and Linda
We are monitoring the development of Storm Henri, which is moving towards the Northeastern United States and expected to strike Long Island in New York and New England. The storm could make landfall this weekend.
We are also monitoring Tropical Storm Linda, which is approaching Hawaii. For those of you who live and work in those areas, stock up and stay safe. For all of the latest updates on our emergency response, check out the Emergency Resource Center.
Verge recognition
Verizon has been recognized by The Verge for having the best Unlimited plan and being the ‘top pick for families in wireless.’ This award is a testament to the great value of our plans by prioritizing choice with great content and entertainment options. Check out Chief Revenue Officer Frank Boulben’s LinkedIn post on his thoughts on the win.
VZPulse survey
Don’t forget, starting Monday you can complete the 3Q VZPulse survey. It will take less than two minutes to complete, so be sure to share your feedback so we can make Verizon an even better place to work.
