It's easy to stream photos to your TV from your smartphone when you want to show them off. Here's how.

Your smartphone has an excellent camera, takes great pictures and dsplays them on its HD screen. But what about when you want to share your pictures with family and friends? It's easy to stream photos to your TV. Here's how.

Use an app

If you have a Smart TV that has a separate app for your smartphone, displaying your smartphone photos on your TV is simple: Install the app on your smartphone and then connect it to your TV over your home's Wi-Fi network.


Use an accessory

TV accessories like the Belkin MiracastTM Video Adapter plug into your TV's HDMI post, so you can use your Wi-Fi network to stream content (including photos) from your mobile devices. to your TV.

Use your phone's memory card

If your smartphone has an expandable memory card and your TV has an SD card reader, you can simply take the card out of your device and put it in the TV's reader. Since most flat panel TVs have a card reader, it's an easy way to get the pictures from your phone onto your TV.

Use an HDMI cable

A lot of AndroidTM phones are now equipped with mini-HDMI ports. If your phone has one, you can buy a mini-HDMI-to-HDMI cable to plug your phone into your TV. If your phone doesn't have a mini-HDMI port, look for adapters that will connect to your phone via its charging post and then to a TV's HDMI port.

Use a DLNA wireless connection

More smartphones are becoming available that support DLNA wireless connections, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. That means these phones can connect via Wi-Fi and an app to other DLNA-enabled devices, such as a DLNA-certified TV, to send and receive content, including photos.
