myPlan | Unlimited Ultimate mobile phone plan FAQs

On 5/7/26, Verizon updated the Unlimited Ultimate plan. Whether you are a long-term customer or looking to switch plans, here is what you need to know.

If you added or changed to the Unlimited Ultimate plan on or after 5/7/26, it includes 2 premium extras designed to help keep your family and identity safe.

Included premium extras:

• Verizon Family Plus: Gain peace of mind with parental controls, real-time location tracking for your family members, and on-demand roadside assistance.
• Identity Secure: Protect your personal data with proactive identity theft monitoring and dedicated expert support to help you recover from fraud.

When you get myPlan (i.e., Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome), your plan’s monthly price is locked in for the next 3 years. And, anytime you add a new line with myPlan or change to myPlan, a new 3-year period starts.

Good news:

• If you already have myPlan for your mobile device, starting 4/3/25, your monthly price is locked for 3 years from the date added to the account.
• If you already had a price guarantee with myPlan on 4/3/25, your guarantee is extended by 3 years.

When you have Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Welcome, you can also keep these non-current mobile phone plans on your account if you already have them: Unlimited Ultimate 1.0, Welcome Unlimited, 5G Get More, 5G Do More, 5G Play More, 5G Start Get More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Play More Unlimited, Above Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Go Unlimited.

These plans all count toward the total number of lines that determine your monthly cost. However, you can only add monthly perks to lines with myPlan (Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Ultimate 1.0, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome and Welcome Unlimited).

Good to know: You can have up to 12 phone lines on your account.

No, smartphones and basic phones can get Unlimited Ultimate. You can also use your 4G device. However, you need a 5G-capable device to access our 5G networks.

With Unlimited Ultimate, video streams at up to 4K Ultra HD on 5G Ultra Wideband or up to 1080p otherwise.

Change your streaming options in the My Verizon app. Turn your phone or your airplane mode off and on again to activate the change.

Good to know: Streaming quality up to 4K when using 5G Ultra Wideband network on a capable device, or up to 1080p when on Verizon 5G or 4G LTE.

Enhanced Video Calling helps your mobile phone's video calling and conferencing apps perform better (e.g., FaceTime, Webex, Zoom, etc.):

• Improves video resolution. Reduces audio and video choppiness.
• Especially helpful in times of network congestion.

Each mobile phone line with Unlimited Ultimate can choose perks (e.g., Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ [With Ads]; Netflix & HBO Max [With Ads]; etc.) for as little as $10/month each. Browse our perks pages to learn more.

Here's how to get Unlimited Ultimate if you:

• Are new to Verizon - Explore plans to get started.
  • You can keep your same phone number when you switch from another carrier. Visit our Bring your number to Verizon FAQs to learn more.
• Already have a Verizon mobile phone plan - Manage plan to change your current plan in My Verizon. Or choose Chat with us on your screen to start.

Note:

• If you're switching from a shared data plan, you must choose a plan for each phone line.
• After you change your plan online, restarting your phone can help your phone’s performance.

Here's how you add the Verizon Family Plus perk in My Verizon if you added or changed to the Unlimited Ultimate plan on or after 5/7/26:

1. Select Products & plan perks and scroll down to view the perks your plan is eligible for.
2. Choose the Verizon Family Plus perk.
3. Select the line you want to add the perk to. Follow the prompts to add and activate the perk.

Good to know: If you already have either the Verizon Family Plus perk or Verizon Family Plus when you change to the Unlimited Ultimate plan, you'll receive the promotional credit on your next bill.

Here's how you add Identity Secure in My Verizon, if you added or changed to the Unlimited Ultimate plan on or after 5/7/26:

• Subscribe to Identity Secure - My Verizon app
• Subscribe to Identity Secure - My Verizon Website
• How to use the Verizon Protect app

Once you subscribe to Identity Secure, we'll send you a text message or email with the link to install the Verizon Protect app. You can access Identity Secure features through the Verizon Protect app.

When you have Unlimited Ultimate, you get Global Choice included for that line. You can choose 1 of 140 countries and get up to 300 minutes to call that country. You'll be prompted to choose your Global Choice plan when you sign up for Unlimited Ultimate:

• If you already have a Global Choice plan, then change to Unlimited Ultimate - The $10/month charge for the country will be automatically removed from your bill.
  • Good to know - You can have more than 1 Global Choice plan on your line, however, only 1 is included with Unlimited Ultimate.
• If you later change from Unlimited Ultimate - You can keep the Global Choice country, but you will see the $10/month charge on your bill.

TravelPass or the $100 International Monthly Plan is automatically removed from any line that changes to Unlimited Ultimate.

If your line has TravePass days* stored in your TravelPass bank and you change that line to Unlimited Ultimate:

• The stored TravelPass days stay in your TravelPass bank until they expire.
• You can't use those days while the line with stored TravelPass days is on the Unlimited Ultimate plan.
• If you later change the line from Unlimited Ultimate, you can then use any stored TravelPass days that haven't expired.
