How to change your plan
Learn how to change your Verizon Wireless plan and how to switch to a new plan or increase your current plan's data, voice or messaging allowance.
Switch to a current unlimited plan or shared data
You can change your plans through the My Verizon website.
When you switch plans, you may have the option to select when you’d like the plan change to take effect. If you choose to switch your plan at the next bill cycle, your plan will become active on that date.
Keep in mind that when you switch to a current plan you can’t change back to an older plan.
Change your plan allowance
Note: You may have the option to choose when you want the changes to take effect. You can choose to backdate the change or schedule the plan change for your next bill date. When you choose the next bill date, your new plan will take effect on the first day of your next bill cycle.
