After registering with our discount program, eligible students* can save up to $25 a month on Unlimited Verizon mobile service. Get $10 off (for 1 line) or $25 a month off (for 2 lines) on these plans:

To qualify for the students discount you must:

• Be an actively enrolled student (including online enrollment) in a U.S. secondary educational institution of higher learning, including undergraduate, graduate, and/or vocational school or institution.
• Have up to 2 smartphones or basic phones on a qualifying Verizon monthly unlimited plan. Accounts with 3 or more phone lines are not eligible. This promotion is limited to accounts with 2 phone lines maximum. If a third phone line is added the discount no longer applies. You can still add connected devices such as watches and tablets to your account without losing your students discount.
• Be the Account Owner or Account Manager.
• Validate your status as a current student with ID.me as part of the discount registration.

To register for a student discount:

• Go to our students discount registration and pricing page and click Get started (at the top or bottom of the page) to validate your student status with ID.me, our verification partner.
• Provide the requested info to verify you're actively enrolled in an eligible school. Once verified as a student, you'll be returned to the Verizon website.
• Click Register or Validate now on that page.

  Note: If you're not currently signed up for one of the qualifying Verizon monthly unlimited plans, you'll need to change your plan first in My Verizon. When your unlimited plan is active, return to our students discount registration and pricing page and choose Get started to sign up.

Yes, you must renew your discount every year.

To renew, follow the same process you used when you first registered for your discount. Visit our How to register or renew discounts page.

If you don't complete your renewal within 30 days after your annual renewal date, you'll lose the discount.

After you enroll, your students discount is valid for 4 years total. Those years don't have to be back-to-back. However, you won't get the discount during any semester(s) you take off.

For example, if you go to school for a year then take a semester off, you'll still have 3 years left to get the discount if you return.

When you return, you will need to re-verify that you are actively enrolled in an eligible secondary educational institution.
