Co-located on premises with a Verizon Private 5G Network, Microsoft Azure Stack Edge provides compute and storage capabilities for local data processing and residency—to support ultra-low-latency applications.

Verizon Private 5G Network

Private 5G Network provides secure and predictable coverage, with the high bandwidth to support new latency-sensitive applications and increasing volume of devices.

Microsoft Azure Stack Edge is an edge compute platform that can be deployed where a Private Wireless Network has been installed for coverage. This allows it to be implemented in almost any location as it is not reliant on public wireless coverage. It provides on-site compute and storage hardware in an "as a service" model. The close proximity of the wireless network and compute resources provide the low latency for those apps that require it.

It also provides enhanced security, since data can be stored locally on premises Private MEC deployments are typically used for mission-critical solutions which rely on low network latency and real-time data processing, such as automated guided vehicles management, computer vision processing, airport ground operations and critical infrastructure monitoring.
