Military and veterans mobile plan & services discounts FAQs

We offer military discounts to all US active duty, retirees, veterans, current or former Guard or reserve, and Gold Star family members.

After registering with our discount program, active United States military service personnel and veterans are eligible for the mobile discounts below:

• Prepaid plans and promotional plans are not eligible for discounts through this program.
• You may also be eligible for our monthly Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount and Mobile + Home Discount.

*If you signed up for the military service discount before 8/5/19, you keep the previous discount amount. If you signed up for Go Unlimited or Beyond Unlimited before 6/18/18, you have a $15 account-level discount, no matter how many lines you have. Go Unlimited and Beyond Unlimited are no longer available to add to your account.

If you qualify, we’ll send you an email confirmation. The discount will begin appearing on your bill 1-2 billing cycles after verification.

Keep in mind:

• Active duty military and veterans get special discounts on unlimited data plans. Employer (non-military) discount agreements may not give discounts on unlimited data plans.
• You can change your choice of discount programs anytime on our Discounts by Verizon page.

Note: Validating your discount doesn't extend your wireless service contract. It just ensures you get the discount currently available under your organization's agreement with us.

To register and validate military service, the person applying for the discount must be both:

• The military member or Gold Star Family member
  
• The Verizon Account Owner or Account Manager

Yes. Spouses and next of kin can register for the military discount.

Use the DD Form 214 to validate eligibility for the military discount. Visit our registration how to page for details about signing up for the discount program with this form.

When you have Verizon Fios home internet, you may also be eligible for our Mobile + Home Discount.
