Hosted IP Centrex is designed for customers that want all the features of a PBX or Key system without the associated capital, lease, or maintenance costs. All the PBX functionality resides in the Verizon network. It is ideal for customers moving to or establishing a new location, or for customers looking to replace an outdated PBX or Key system. Hosted IP Centrex is a complete turnkey solution, including design, installation, and ongoing maintenance for a low monthly fee. Verizon's network-based IP technology provides a full suite of subscriber and administrative features.
The target market for Hosted IP Centrex includes customers that:
- Subscribers (end-users) want advanced IP call control and management features via a telephony, web browser, or desktop interface (using plug-ins to existing applications).
- Administrators (telecom managers) want to easily and centrally manage [moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD)] across all physical sites (with ICP).
- Want flexible growth choices, as afforded by the scalable and interchangeable products within the Verizon Voice Over IP (VoIP) portfolio.
- Want the cost-savings associated with moving their voice traffic on to their (IP) networks.
- Do not want additional infrastructure investments or monthly maintenance costs.
Hosted IP Centrex is available to small and large customers alike. The number of end-users supported per site is determined by the customer's access, as well as, data and voice traffic patterns. Typically, the service supports up to 325 users per T1. Continuing enhancements such as the addition of the Integrated Communications Package - Description will also allow Hosted IP Centrex to better support remote users and teleworkers (U.S. only at this time).

Unified Communication and Collaboration as a Service (UCCaaS) is Verizon's hosted and managed service based on Cisco's Hosted Collaboration Solution. UCCaaS delivers business-grade communications and collaboration services from the Cloud, offering the flexibility of a premises-based solution with the simplicity of a hosted solution.
UCCaaS provides the following UC&C services:
- Call control (audio, video)
- Integrated/unified voicemail
- Presence and Instant Messaging
- Enterprise mobility
- Audio conferencing and net conferencing
But UCCaaS is far more than just Cloud-based delivery of communication and collaboration services. Think of UCCaaS as Platform as a Service. Here’s why:
- UCCaaS integrates with existing services such as Private IP, IP Trunking, audio conferencing, net conferencing powered by WebEx, and Open Video Communications (OVC). The flexibility built into the UCCaaS platform permits extensibility into future services, as well.
- UCCaaS integrates communications services into Enterprise ERP, CRM, and specialty applications such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and Jive to allow users of those applications to click to call, see presence status and Instant Message, or launch a WebEx directly in those applications, creating seamless communications directly in the application and increasing business agility.
UCCaaS delivers a simplified approach to deploying, managing, and upgrading collaboration applications and services via a flexible and predictable user-based monthly billing model.

VoIP Service Types. Verizon will provide to Customer one or more of the following Voice Over IP Service(s) (individually or collectively, the “VoIP Service”).
- IP Integrated Access
- IP Trunking
- Hosted IP Centrex
The VoIP Service types are described in an individual Service Supplement attached hereto and made a part hereof. Terms and conditions specific to each VoIP Service type are set forth in the applicable Service Supplement.
VoIP Premium Services are an additional level of service offered to VOIP customers who are looking for an additional level of support. There are two components of Premium Services: Feature Management and CPE/LAN support. All requests for Premium Services must be submitted through a Customer-designated administrator Virtual Fx Service.
Customer may order Virtual Fx Service which allows Customer to receive inbound calls on a Direct Inward Dial (“DID”) number associated with a location outside the local exchange area for Customer’s physical location. If Customer requires outbound VoIP services at the same physical location where a Virtual Fx-originated call may terminate, separate domestic LD-only VoIP services must also be purchased from Verizon. Customer will pay a separate charge for the DIDs as set forth in ITT46 Cost Tables. Virtual Fx Service is available with IP Integrated Access and IP Trunking. However, Virtual Fx Service is not available with any VoIP service type if Customer also has or orders Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks (“BEST”).
Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks: Customer’s VoIP sites that are provisioned with Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks will be able to share across Customer’s enterprise the simultaneous calling capacity purchased by Customer.
