Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0) - View Device Screen on TV

Here's how to share your screen or media files with another screen (TV, game console, etc.) using your Galaxy Tab A (8.0).
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube, Netflix® , etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the
    Cast icon
    Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

  1. Swipe down on the
    Status bar
    (at the top) twice to expand the quick settings menu.

  2. Tap
    Smart View
    .
  3. Tap the
    Smart View switch
    to turn on.
  4. Tap the
    Tablet to Other device
    tab to share video.
  5. Select the external display device from the list.
    If unavailable, ensure your TV/external display supports screen sharing and that it is turned on.

    Status bar
    (at the top) twice to expand the quick settings menu.

  2. Tap
    Smart View
    .
  3. Tap the
    Smart View switch
    to turn on.
  4. Tap the
    Other device to Tablet
    tab to share video.
  5. Select the external display device you want to view on your tablet.
    Only supported Samsung TVs and Blu-ray players will be shown in the list if turned on.
