Expand All
  • Pixel 8
    :
    • Up to approx. 26 hours of Usage Time
    • Up to approx. 237 hours of Standby Time
    • 4485 mAh non-removable battery
  • Pixel 8 Pro
    :
    • Up to approx. 27 hours of Usage
    • Up to approx. 240 hours of Standby Time
    • 4950 mAh non-removable battery
  • Battery life depends on the network, signal strength, temperature, features and accessories used.
  • It's common for batteries to be warm from use or charging.
  • The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have a Type-C charging port which allows for more data throughput and can support technologies such as Adaptive Fast Charging.
  • Use only manufacturer-approved chargers.
  • USB Type-C cables are reversible, meaning that there is no way to plug the cable into the port upside down.
  • MicroUSB cables can't be used, and may damage the port if used.
  • The use of Type-C adapters isn't recommended.
  • Some heat is anticipated and perfectly normal, though the phone should not become too warm to handle comfortably.
  • The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro supports Fast Charging, and therefore are likely to get warm during charging. This is expected, especially if the device is being operated while it is charging. If the device gets warm during normal use, see the tips above.
  1. Use the provided Google wall charger then wait at least 1-2 mins to allow the device to charge.
  2. If the device doesn't seem to charge with the provided AC charger, connect the provided USB cable to a different AC charger (if available). If the device charges under this configuration, the provided AC charger needs to be replaced.
