TCL 50 XE 5G - Use Multi Window

Here's how to use two apps simultaneously on your TCL 50 XE 5G.
  • 'Multi window' is also referred to as split screen.
  • The 'Multi window' feature allows multiple apps to be run on the current screen at the same time.
  • Not all apps support 'Multi window'.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the
    Recent apps icon
     Recent apps icon.
  2. Scroll left or right to locate the preferred app.
  3. Tap the name of the app at the top then tap
    Split screen
    .
    Split screen is not available for every app.
  4. From the list in the bottom half of the screen, tap the second app to be viewed.
    When two apps are on the screen:
    • Adjust the size of the apps by sliding the horizontal bar between the apps up or down.
      The image below is an example.

    • Tap the horizontal bar between the apps then tap any of the following icons:
      • Switch
         Switch icon: Switches the top and bottom apps.
      • Apps
         Apps icon: Changes the bottom app.
      • Float
         Float icon: Changes the bottom app to float window mode.
      • Exit
         Exit icon: Exits split screen mode.
  1. From a Home screen, tap the Recent apps icon Recent apps icon (lower-right).
  2. Scroll left or right to locate the preferred app.
  3. Tap the name of the app at the top then tap
    Float window
    .
    Float window isn't available for every app.
  4. Drag the bottom menu bar of the pop-up to move the placement of the window.
  5. Tap one of the following icons:
    • Expand
       Expand icon: Switches the windowed app to full-screen view.
    • Exit
       Exit icon: Closes the windowed app.
    • More options
       More Options iconthen any of the following:
      • Rotate
      • Switch
      • Fold
      • Apps
      • Split
